Die langwierigen eventuellen Patentverletzungsprozesse können sie doch zeitlich und vom $$$-Aufwand nicht stemmen...

lieber die patente als sicherheit für die gläubiger behalten, als zum dumpingpreis zu verramschen. Vielleicht deswegen am Montag abend auch das Gespräch mit den Kreditgebern.

DIe Patente werden aber jetzt mit dem Höchstgebot bewertet.. der Traum von der Millarden ist damit ausgeträumt

will den turnaround schaffen. Der Verkauf der Patente ging daneben, nun Plan B.

In a statement to News10NBC Thursday morning, Kodak says it is not ready to announce the outcome of the auction process.

The company says it continues to have discussions with potential buyers of its digital imaging patent portfolio.

According to the statement, Kodak says it hasn’t reached a decision to sell the portfolio and may hold on to all or parts of it if the company decides "doing so is in the best interest of the estate."

Kodak's full statement:
"Kodak continues to have active discussions with potential buyers of its digital imaging patent portfolio. As a result, Kodak is not yet prepared to announce the outcome of the auction process. The company reiterates that it has not reached a determination or agreement to sell the digital imaging patent portfolio, and may retain all or parts of it as a source of creditor recoveries in lieu of a sale if it concludes that doing so is in the best interests of the estate."

und man spricht auch noch immer von Bietern....

ich will das Wort ja nicht zu häufig nennen, aber Kodak hat nicht die Pokerkarten, um All-In zu gehen!

Die Firma ist faktisch überschuldet! Also sie hat mehr Schulden als Vermögensgegenstände. Es ist nicht nur das Konto im Minus, sondern wenn man das Unternehmen sofort auflösen und alles verkaufen würde, müssten die Gläubiger auf Geld verzichten.

Aber bei kleineren Unternehmen gibt es das teilweise auch, dass Firmen überschuldet sind und die Banken (Gläubiger) es vorübergehend dulden.

Und ich denke, darum geht es bei Kodak. Wenn die Angebote niedriger sind als die Lizenzeinnahmen von 3-5 Jahren, muss vielleicht überlegt werden, ob die Gläubiger mehr davon haben, wenn Kodak fortbesteht.

Aber nach Chapter 11 bekommen die Gläubiger dann Aktien, was für uns Aktionäre nicht gut wäre!
