The problem Verbio has is in the biodiesel area, which is 60% of sales. Winter biodiesel seems to be alright, because the palm oil doesn’t do well in the cold. The other areas are profitable, and biogas is growing. Most of the depreciation is in the biogas area, which hides some of the earnings. Verbio will have to restructure somehow. It cannot afford to lose money on summer biodiesel. It may have to shut down some capacity, sell the biodiesel through the futures market and concentrate on winter biodiesel.
