These preliminary specifications can be viewed on Path 1's Web site at http://www.path1.net.
The TMG, an extremely flexible product, incorporates many multimedia interfaces and features to make it a general-purpose gateway to network applications of the future. Path 1 designed TMG and TrueCircuit(TM) to be fully compatible with existing IP/Ethernet networking equipment.
Among the applications enabled by this one single device are:

Path 1 expects to place the units in the hands of select developers and customers. Requests for participation in the Beta test program can be submitted via the Web site at http://www.path1.net/forms/BetaForm.htm.
Path 1 is in the process of developing several immediate applications for customers: Multiplexed real-time and data transport and rate control for Internet service providers (ISPs) over xDSL lines, High-quality audio systems for concert halls and amphitheaters, and Hotel and Multi-tenant building networks and interfaces.
Engineers and developers will be interested to know that incorporated into a single 9`` W x 6.7'' D x 1.6`` H (23cm W x 17cm D x 4cm H) device are the following features: PSTN telephone line interface, standard analog POTS phone interface with ring generation and loop originate current, bi-directional AC97 CD quality stereo audio interface, SparcLite Processor, 4 MB Flash memory, 4 MB DRAM, mezzanine connector for daughter-boards, Two 10Base-T Ethernet ports, serial RS-232 port, and indicator lights. The unit draws less than 6 Watts, eliminating the need for a fan. The development tools are based upon the Gnu tool-set and include: High speed interrupt-driven operating system, C language Application Programmer's Interface (API), Remote networked download, Reconfiguration, System test, Telephony software library including DTMF interface, and a complete TCP/IP stack which incorporates Path 1's patent pending TrueCircuit technology.
Path 1 Network Technologies Inc. was founded in January 1998 with the goal of becoming the world leader in providing quality of service (QoS) hardware and software for all networks, including the Internet.
