E10 is coming. Its introduction is only being slowed down. It is coming because it is a solution to peak oil - the end of cheap oil. To get the 10% of oil to replace biofuels very expensive methods must be used which would drive the price of oil much higher than it is now, causing economic slowdown and the search for alternative solutions.
E10 is not in the interest of big oil, and making big oil responsible for the public acceptance of E10 is like the wolf guarding the sheep.
The players pushing for E10 are farmers and government. Government needs an alternative to the oil that is running out. So E10 is coming. It is merely being slowed down by the resistance of big oil.
