Im Vergleich zu dem was AZN, J&J oder MRNA bisher von der "BARDA und Co." bekommen haben sind 1,6 Mrd. $ schon ein dickes Brett. Und NVAX war gar nicht unter den fünf favourisierten "Finalisten" der Operation Warp Speed.

Welcher Anstieg ist schon gerechtfertigt, das ist Börse und die spielt im Moment verrückt, nur meine Meinung.

Novavax price target raised to $155 from $106 at B. Riley FBR

B. Riley FBR analyst Mayank Mamtani raised the firm's price target on Novavax (NVAX) to $155 from $106 and reiterates a Buy rating on the shares after hosting management for a virtual summit. The stock closed Wednesday at $111.15. With one week into the $1.6B Operation Warp Speed funding enabling availability of 100M NVX-CoV2373 doses by year-end, Novavax is "moving full speed ahead" towards unblinding of its ongoing Phase I 130-subject study, Mamtani tells investors in a research note. The analyst believes Novavax will preview the Phase I immunogenicity data by the end of July and that it is "likely to emerge as strongest among peers." Mamtani also believes the mRNA-1273 Phase I data from Moderna (MRNA) provides a favorable read-trough for Novavax.

high risk invest. Ich denke dieses Jahr kommt es anders. NVX-CoV2373 und NanoFlu erhalten die Zulassung und es wird ein zweiter Versuch mit ResVax gestartet, nur meine Meinung.

Novavax hat in 33 Jahren nicht ein Medikament zur Marktreife gebracht, aber wurde durch Corona zum "Shooting Star." Ob es noch Leute gibt, die bei 135$ kaufen? Ok, da Frage hab ich mir bei 60,80,100$ auch schon gestellt. Ob dieses Kartenhaus irgendwann mal zusammenbricht? MK 8 Mrd. $

wird ein ernstzunehmender Konkurrent, wir werden sehen. Ach so bei 228$ werde ich schwach.
 

Soweit ich weiß, gibt es gar nicht wenige Bios die in all der Zeit nicht ein Medikament zur Marktreife gebracht haben, aber große Teile der Forschung im Auftrag anderer übernahmen. So wohl auch Nova. Das Risiko des Kartenhauses ist natürlich als Investierter im Hinterkopf und man sollte zumindest seinen Einsatz raus haben, aber mit Nanoflu FDA approved und der Covid-Geschichte in Mache wird das Ding noch weiter nach oben laufen, mindestens bis die ersten Test Ergebnisse aus Australien vorliegen. Ende Juli/August soweit ich weiß. Denke, dann entscheidet sich ob wir Richtung 300 gehen oder zu Boden stürzen. Börse ist eben auch viel Fantasie, aber das weißte ja selbst.

On 04/22/16 I acquired my first 2,000 shares at 5.56; it?s been a love hate relationship since then. I?m not an investor that uses the diversified portfolio rather I have 3 to 4 investments that I feel strongly about. I was able to take a small amount and invest in Avanir Pharmaceuticals, (AVNR) was then bought out and that afforded me a large position (over time) with Novavax (NVAX). Over these last 4+ years I have gone through all the trials and tribulations and tried to keep abreast of the science and news as best I could. A smart man knows when to listen to others that are smarter hence Gates, CEPI, DOD, Oxford (matrix M), Dr Glen, RA Capital and a plethora of others (redplate) that I have failed to mention (Cramer lmao). Even after semi-absorbing and applying all of that knowledge (as well as my own) there?s still a risk and no ?sure thing? RSV missed Phase 3 maternal by nothing % (Erck got cocky) but reduced infant pneumonia 74%. RSV elderly missed because there weren?t enough RSV infections that year; again this is still a risk. How I rationalize the risk currently is to look at the past; we learn from our mistakes and Novavax is no different. I could apply that to my investment in regards to ?well they failed in the past it?s going to happen again? but I digress, it?s the failures that makes Novavax stronger. Naysayers could say well they never went ahead with any other vaccines Ebola, MERS or SARS and they would be correct, but why didn?t Novavax go ahead with them? One word money! What does Novavax have now to develop CoV2373?.exactly, money? Why was Novavax able to hire a slew of professionals from other companies? Exactly $$$, I don?t see professionals leaving good jobs to join in with a company that stands no chance of success. What did Erck say at the Table in the Whitehouse to the president? We need?.$$. Novavax is a small fish in a big Pond but guess what we are growing up. Whatever your relationship is with Novavax be it a swing/day trader, put/call writer, rat bag short or a combination of those it would bode well to hold some shares long term. We are Microsoft/Apple going up against IBM; we are Tesla going after global automakers. Novavax has products that are scalable and efficacious; we now have professionals to fill the ranks and push us forward, a global pandemic that will allow real world testing and more importantly the capital to see it through. Are we there yet!? No, but we are almost there, we are indeed in rare air.

The case for Novavax
Why consider buying a small biotech stock like Novavax? It has a pretty good shot at becoming a much bigger biotech stock. If you like playing the odds, Novavax's flu vaccine candidate NanoFlu stands out as the top reason why shares could rise significantly higher.

The company reported great results in March from a late-stage study evaluating NanoFlu in a head-to-head comparison with Sanofi's FluZone Quadrivalent. To use the boxing metaphor from earlier, the lightweight -- unproven experimental vaccine NanoFlu -- won a technical knockout over heavyweight and market-leading blockbuster FluZone.

Novavax plans to file for FDA approval for NanoFlu based on its strong phase 3 results. Its chances of securing approval appear to be really good, at least based on history. Biopharmaceutical industry trade organization BIO researched FDA approvals from 2006 through 2015. BIO found that 74% of vaccine candidates that made it to phase 3 testing later won FDA approval. And 100% of regulatory submissions for vaccine candidates during the period analyzed were approved.

And if NanoFlu does win FDA approval, Novavax could be on its way to achieving tremendous commercial success. One analyst projects the flu vaccine could generate peak annual sales of $1.7 billion.

Novavax also has an even greater opportunity, although it's more of a longshot. Its COVID-19 vaccine candidate NVX?CoV2373 is currently in phase 1/2 testing. There's a long way to go and no guarantee that it will prove to be both safe and effective. If it is, though, Novavax would almost certainly have a megablockbuster on its hands.

A lot of money has been bet on NVX?CoV2373. The Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) agreed to fund up to $388 million for the development and manufacturing of the vaccine candidate. Operation Warp Speed, the U.S. government's initiative to accelerate the development of COVID-19 vaccines, awarded $1.6 billion to Novavax for its coronavirus vaccine program.

Oxford data consistent w/ past results... uncomfortable & fairly weak neutralizing antibody titers compared to other vaccines (until we get outcomes from large studies, we can't know if good enough). Touted t cells aren't well understood w/o strong nAbs.
