The Estonian Hansabank Launches First BroadVision-Based Wireless Banking Service BroadVision Technology Enables Personalized Banking Service On WAP Phones REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 27, 2000-- BroadVision®, Inc. (Nasdaq: BVSN - news), a leading worldwide supplier of personalized e-business applications, announced that Hansabank has launched its BroadVision-powered WAP banking service. The new service enables customers to define recurring payments and monitor current account statements, credit card payments, and transactions. In addition, the service offers e-mail information and alerts to its customers.
``We are proud to be BroadVision's first customer to implement WAP banking services,'' said Andres Kutt, Hansabank. ``Thanks to BroadVision, we're able to deliver a customized banking experience based on individual preferences. And we plan to continue improving the service based on feedback we receive from our customers.''
The WAP banking service enables users to define the front page, based on individual preference, to display either the main menu or the account statement. Hansabank's Web site offers more advanced personalization features including choice of language and service content display.
``Personalization is essential, especially when using a WAP phone,'' said Kutt. ``Navigation with a phone is more complicated, and the size of the screen demands highly customized content delivery. BroadVision's XML functionality made its solution even more attractive to us.''
