RISE Technologies Official Opening of PV Cell Plant in Germany
§ WATERLOO, ON, May 27 /CNW/ - ARISE Technologies Corporation (TSX: APV and Frankfurt: A3T), which is dedicated to becoming a leader in high-performance, cost-effective solar technology, today announced that the official opening of its PV (photovoltaic) cell manufacturing plant in Bischofswerda, Germany will be on Friday, June 6.
§ "This official opening will give us the opportunity to thank our partners who helped make possible the achievement of bringing this PV cell manufacturing plant from concept to production in the remarkably short time of only 16 months," said Sjouke Zijlstra, vice-president and general manager ARISE Technologies Deutschland GmbH.
§ "Since beginning production on April 17, we have been ramping up our production on Line 1 at the plant to the planned annual rate of 35MW, have moved ahead with preparations to bring Line 2 into production in the first quarter of next year to increase the plant's capacity to 80MW annually, and have begun the planning needed to add a third line in this building," Mr. Zijlstra said.
§ "We are expecting a number of dignitaries to join us in marking this milestone achievement for ARISE, including Stanislaw Tillich, the Minister-President of the State of Saxony; Andreas Erler, the mayor of Bischofswerda; Paul Dubois, the Canadian Ambassador to Germany; and others," he added.
§ Media are invited to attend the official opening ceremonies, which will take place from noon to 4:00 p.m. at the plant at Thormeyerstrasse 1 in Bischofswerda.
