CUMMING, GA--(MARKET WIRE)--Nov 5, 2007 -- PlanetLink Communications Inc. (OTC BB:PLKC.OB - News), announced today that Pluginz, a wholly owned subsidiary that was recently acquired, is launching the commercial version of its ecommerce platform, Plugin Stores (www.pluginstores.com). Until now, Plugin Stores has been operating as a beta program. Plugin Stores was designed as part of a strategic alliance between Pluginz and Adobe Systems, Inc.
ADVERTISEMENT The Company anticipates generating over $10 million of new business in the next year as a result of the Plugin Stores offering. Pluginz plans to leverage the Plugin Stores platform to enable a broader marketplace for media in addition to software, similar to iStockphoto and other web-based marketplaces. The Company believes it is well positioned to compete in this space because of its deep access into digital artist communities.
Robert Lott, CEO of PlanetLink, commented, "I am looking forward to expanding the Pluginz product offering, as well as the overall availability of software plugins for the creative industries. There currently is no definitive marketplace for third party software developers to commercialize plugins and other software they create. With Plugin Stores, software developers can open and manage their own store by uploading their own products for sale at pluginz.com and other websites that we manage. We believe Plugin Stores represents the best turnkey business solution for third party software developers."
