GPS Industries Announces Another Installation in Australia Tuesday January 13, 6:45 am ET Inforemer GPS-golf solution selected by Noosa Springs Golf Club at world-famous destination
VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 13, 2004--GPS Industries Inc. (GPSI) (OTCBB:GPSN - News; Germany: Berlin and Frankfurt WKN#: 252179), a Global Positioning (GPS) based business solutions provider today announced the installation of its Inforemer® GPS-based golf solution at Noosa Springs Golf Club on Australia's famous Sunshine Coast. Located within Australia's holiday playground, Noosa Heads is one of the world's most famous destinations. As the first international championship resort golf course in the Noosa region, Noosa Springs is located within a rapidly-growing residential community and winds its way through abundant native foliage on the shore of Lake Weyba and Noosa National Park. The challenging course layout boasts water hazards on 11 of the 18 holes.
Noosa is installing GPSI's Inforemer handheld GPS units, which can be used by golfers riding carts or walking utilizing convenient cart mounted cradles or bag holsters. The Inforemer is user-friendly and takes the guess work out of club selection, helping to lower scores by showing complete course and hole graphics with precise shot-by-shot distances to the pin and hazards. In addition, the units are hand-free and offer drive measurements, electronic scorecards, pro tips and rules.
"Noosa Springs thoroughly researched all competing products before deciding on the Inforemer as our GPS system of choice. The Inforemer is the only system golfers can enjoy regardless of their preference to walk the course or ride in carts. We are very impressed with how easy this system is to use and operate, and it has introduced a new source of rental revenue to our club," commented Mark Brady, Acting Manager for Noosa Springs.
