Trinity Biotech H1 profit rises 50 pct
DUBLIN, July 26 (Reuters) - Ireland's Trinity Biotech on Wednesday reported a 50 percent rise in net profits to $3.0 million in the six months to June 30.
Trinity, which develops, manufactures and markets over 100 diagnostic products, said revenues roses 11 percent in the period to $14.25 million. Earnings per share were up by 21 percent to 8.7 cents.
Trinity raised $13.4 million during the second quarter, part of which it intends to spend on direct sales operations in its main European markets.
``The company is now well financed and strongly positioned to pursue growth both organically and through acquisition,'' CEO Ronan O'Caoimh said in a statement.
