Interessant!

Graphene All You Ever Wanted To Know - 2012

Thursday, August 09, 2012

Some articles, and series, are just too good not to share. This interesting one by Lucy Sherriff at ZDNet fits that bill. While the new 21st century super material still has a long way to go from lab to commercial products, available in stores, car dealerships, solar cells, batteries and the like, it’s a little too easy to think that graphene products are already in the pipeline, graphene and our new carbon age will make a lifestyle altering difference in the next decade..

Nichts ungewöhnliches, was hier also passiert ist..

So, werde mal ins bettchen gehen :/! Man verschläft echt viel Zeit im Leben :)!

Gruß und schönes Wochenende!

Perhaps it’s the end of the Olympics that made me break out OASIS this morning while we calculated the graphite and graphene sponsor averages for last week (numbers calculated between close of market Friday, August 3, 2012 and close of market Friday, August 10, 2012) but I must admit that I was delighted that we scored a perfect Olympic 10.  The average change in share prices for GraphiteBlog sponsors this last week was up 10.00%..

Graphite Juniors Head Lower as Prices Weaken

Sunday August 12, 2012, 9:15pm PDT - By Karan Kumar

Graphite prices fell in May for the first time in three years. Since then prices have recovered slightly, but sentiment remains weak. Stock prices of many juniors exploring for graphite have also gone down. Northern Graphite (TSXV:NGC) has fallen more than 55 percent in the past three months. Focus Metals (TSXV:FMS) has fallen 25 percent and Standard Graphite7 (TSXV:SGH) has lost more than 63 percent..

Falling demand from industrial users hits US and Europe; Indian graphite stable

Since falling in May for the first time in three years, prices for natural graphite have continued to decline in Europe and North America, while Indian prices seem to have stabilised market sources told IM..

Molycorp's poor performance has impacted the entire rare earth sector. Until the rare earth element "super-cycle" gains steam again, investors need to reset their expectations. In this exclusive Critical Metals Report interview, Chris Berry of House Mountain Partners discusses what really matters in a rare earth element company, and why investors should exercise patience..

Graphite’s gleam

With big jumps in price and demand, mining companies are rushing to find new sources of the mineral and revive old ones. But even as graphite projects spread across the Ottawa region and beyond, investors need to remember the risks of resource development..

"Standard Graphite Corp. of Vancouver wants to develop two properties in the Madawaska Highlands district about 50 kilometres west of Renfrew. It said surveys of two properties, including reserves around a flooded Black Donald mine that last produced in 1950, found positive results. it has 13 properties in Ontario and Quebec.

One is the Mousseau East property, about 40 kilometres northeast of Mont Laurier, Que., and about 50 kilometres from the Timcal mine, one of two producing North American mines. The Mousseau property was discovered by road builders in the late 1980s and more than 60 holes were drilled up to 1993, but no mine was developed.."

4186 Postings, 4644 Tage carpe_diem# Graphitsektor - Update: Positive News

Big flakes finish first in the graphite market

The Critical Metals Report | August 21, 2012

Flakes are king in the graphite space, where large flake commands a substantial premium. But the path to production can be long and twisted, with many moving parts. Resource and tech investor Ron Struthers met up with The Critical Metals Report and walked us through the funhouse of graphite investment. Read on to find out which companies look good in every mirror..

Toller Artikel!

http://www.mineweb.com/mineweb/view/mineweb/en/...n=Detail&pid=63

"TCMR: Of the companies in the graphite universe-which ranges from 12 to 40 companies-how many might succeed?

RS: Over the course of the next 10 years or more, there could be quite a few success stories. However, it takes a long time to get a new mine up and running and with such a small market, one or two new graphite mines could substantially alter the supply-and-demand picture. I would advise investors to stick to companies that can get a new mine up and running sooner rather than later. That would allow the first companies to lock in better prices before other producers increase supply, potentially causing prices to drop off."
