ist für viele Länder schon eine bittere Realität, hier das Beispiel Indonesien: "JAKARTA, Dec 23 (Reuters) - Indonesia expects output of crude oil and condensate to fall by 1.8 percent in 2009 from this year, hit by a drop in output by the country's top oil producer Chevron Corp, the energy watchdog said on Tuesday. Indonesia expects to produce 960,000 barrels per day (bpd) of crude oil and condensate next year, against an estimated 978,000 this year, Priyono, chairman of the energy watchdog, known as BPMIGAS, told reporters. "The fall in production is due to declining production in Chevron oil blocks," said Priyono, who uses one name like many Indonesians. He said that several oil blocks owned by BP Plc and state oil company Pertamina would start production next year but would only partly compensate for the fall at Chevron. Chevron's oil output from its Indonesian operations may decline to an estimated 382,000 bpd next year against an estimated 405,000 bpd this year, as ageing oil fields produced less crude, Evita Legowo, director general of oil and gas said in September. Indonesia started producing the first oil from the Cepu block, one of the biggest oil finds in a decade, this month and Priyono said production was on track to hit 20,000 bpd by March. The giant Cepu oil block in central Java, jointly developed by ExxonMobil and Indonesian state oil firm Pertamina, ranks among the U.S. major's top 10 projects worldwide. Despite the prospects from Cepu and some other blocks, Indonesia has turned into a net importer of crude oil in recent years as production has slumped after a failure to tap new fields fast enough. The country has been offering new exploration rights and financial incentives for oil fields in a bid to stem a steady decline in production. Indonesia's crude oil production fell slightly to 845,300 bpd in November from 846,300 bpd in October. (Reporting by Muklis Ali; Writing by Fitri Wulandari; Editing by Ed Davies)"
