"I am an owner of PRVB, but this article and subsequent comments miss 2 IMPORTANT facts. Teplizumab has shown to be a promising drug against T1D, BUT, in a comment buried inside a January 2021 SEC filing, the company is CHANGING the manufacturer of the drug, moving from one that produced small scale batches for testing and trials to a production oriented manufacturer. I expect the FDA to require another study with the production produced drug to verify efficacy. At least they would require more lab tests to confirm, the production drug and the R & D drug do not exhibit exactly the same intake characteristics. This would delay approval, increase costs, and probably hit the stock price quite hard in early July. Secondly, the company will be required to pay MacroGenics $60 million within 90 days of FDA approval of teplizumab, so all of the money sitting in cash can't be used for marketing and distribution. However, once FDA approval is received, the stock should prove a great investment."
