"Tech giant Apple Inc. is set to release three new iPhone models this year, including one with a liquid-crystal display despite weaker than expected sales of the XR, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday citing people familiar with the matter.
According to the sources, the Cupertino-based company will reveal new camera features as well, including a triple rear camera for the most expensive model and double rear cameras for the remaining two devices. Furthermore, the company intends to drop LCD from their smartphones in favor of OLED in 2020.
Earlier this month, Apple warned investors that it was lowering its guidance for the first quarter of 2019. In the announcement, it said that it now expects revenue of around $84 billion, down from the $89 to $93 billion range it had previously predicted, attributing the lowered guidance to multiple factors, including a weakening economy in China and worse-than-expected iPhone sales."
